Repurposed Acrylic Drying Disk For Shampoo Bars

WHY WE MAKE THIS DRYING DISK FROM ACRYLIC:
The first plexiglass (aka acrylic) protective shield made to protect us from the covid-19 virus will probably still be around long after we are done worrying about the virus itself.  The early days of the pandemic, ways to protect ourselves from others erupted, one result was acrylic shields. We’ve seen them everywhere, from nail salons to banks, surrounding kids in schools, even separating tables in restaurants. The transparent, shatter-resistant material was the go-to solution for many establishments to protect against the pandemic. But now we know the virus doesn’t care about those specialty shields.   

As the need for these plexiglass slabs decline and without a recycling plan for them, tons of non-degradable plastic partitions are being sent to our landfills. So, when this issue was brought to our attention and we realized we could actually reduce the amount of acrylic going to our local landfills in Central Florida, we jumped at the opportunity to help! Tangie is a company focused on eliminating single use plastic waste, we immediately decided to make an improvement to our custom soap bar drying disks to combat this plexiglass waste problem.  

Our new drying disks will now be made from acrylic saved from the landfill!
BONUS: the clear acrylic fits every color décor. 

Because bar soap is best used with a soap dish, we custom designed a bar soap holder to perfectly fit our bar soaps. 

To honor the trees we love, we designed our drying disks to resemble a leaf.
The spines of the leaf allow air to circulate around the whole bar.
Letting soap bars dry between uses gives you more use from the bar. That, my friend, is good for your wallet and the planet.  

 We make a shampoo bar drying disk and a complementary conditioner bar drying disk, and they conveniently hook together like two puzzle pieces.
